Why the lowest initial number can change
An estimate based only on mileage may omit the vehicle trim, operability, equipment, exact locations, or requested date. If those details are added later, the price or available carrier can change. Compare whether each quote covers the same vehicle, service type, locations, timing assumptions, and payment terms.

If your schedule is flexible, provide a realistic pickup window rather than an impossible exact time. Ask what is included, when payment is due, what could change the amount, and whether the company is acting as a broker or motor carrier.
